All Aboard! It’s Time to Ship 30 More Atomic Essays in 30 Days!

Shipping 30 atomic essays in 30 days was so hard I decided to do it again.

If you’ve followed my writing journey since August 2021, you’ll remember that I fell overboard 21 days into my first cohort. I bought a new house and moved into it that day. As the movers pulled away, I collapsed onto my couch and let my brain melt into mush.

There would be no writing that day.

My biggest measure of success this time around will be completing the 30-day streak. If my 30th essay hits the Twittersphere on Sunday, January 6, I’ll be dancing a jig behind closed doors. Trust me - you don’t want to watch.

But please do have your beverage of choice in my honor! 😀

In this cohort, I’m planning to write on three new topics:

1% Daily Improvements to Software Engineering Skills

The Journey from Programmer to Engineer

Flipping the Script on Remote Work

In addition to writing, I’ve volunteered to be an Alumni Captain for the first time!

I won’t lie to you - while I look forward to helping several first-time shippers along, I’m using this role as accountability for myself. I’m much more likely to ship all 30 days with a crowd of new shippers watching my example!

I’ve also recently finished a course on data-driven Twitter writing.

Maybe you’ve noticed how prolific I’ve been over the past week. I can’t wait to use the insights I’m getting from y’all’s engagement to help me determine what atomic essays to ship! I already have some great ideas.

OK, it’s time to push off the dock. See you at each of our 30 ports of call!
